Hello & welcome! My name is Cuyler Haydn Combs (Cuyler is pronounced Kyler). I was raised in the suburbs, but I have spent most of my adult life calling Kansas City home—a place I love so that I chose Midtown KC as the location for my Studio. In 2014 I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and in 2016 I graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from Research College of Nursing in KCMO. I have been a Registered Nurse since graduating in 2016 and I have spent most of my career working in Labor & Delivery at several hospitals in the KC area. I began my journey into esthetics in January 2020 when I began an apprenticeship with my mom, Nichole Hines (also a licensed esthetician and business owner in KC).

The name of my studio reflects the passion that I have for holistic skincare and having the privilege to teach and take care of so many people. Sonder captures the realization that every person has a unique story—a vivid life filled with their own experiences and dreams. Bloom evokes hope, joy, and new beginnings, perfectly mirroring my clients’ journeys in self-care and enhancing their natural beauty. Finally, a Studio is a place where artistry comes alive and I strive to make mine a space where you feel Refreshed, Empowered, and Confident.

I believe that self-care is transformative and I cherish the opportunity to hear each client’s story, learn about their journey, and play a small part in helping them feel their best inside and out.
